Update a component

Log in to add to favourites

If you want to change a field within a component it can be updated by following these steps:

  1. Press the Content modelling button in the sidebar. The Content modelling drawer will open, revealing a number of options.
  2. Select Components to open the Component listing.
  3. Press the Edit button next to the content type you want to edit.
  4. The Component builder will open. Open the component you want to update by pressing the Edit in the Component listing.

Update name

To update the name of your component, retype the name in the Details panel of the component.

Note: This will have no effect on the API Name. The API Name cannot be changed once it has been set.

Update description

The component description provides summary information describing the purpose of the component. It is also displayed in the Component listing screen.

You can update the description in the Details panel of the component. You will need to save and publish any changes for the component to be updated.
